Limited edition. Small quarto. Frontis portrait engraving. Six illustrations by Mayrs, each opposite a poem (presented in the original French.) Designed and printed by David Clifford; the text was set in Arepo and printed letterpress from polymer plates on Rives BFK. Each copy was hand-bound by Yasmine Franchi. One of forty press-numbered copies, signed by the artist. A Fine copy. // "Six of one hundred poems were banned by the French Government three months after 'Les Fleur du Mal' was published in 1857. The reason given was outrage against religious and public morals, and Baudelaire was fined 300 francs. Despite, or perhaps because of the controversy, the original edition became an instant sensation. The ban was not revoked in France until 1949..."

All orders of $25 and above will be shipped within the United States free of charge via USPS Media Mail. Insurance is available at cost. Expedited shipping options (UPS, Fed Ex, USPS Priority Mail) are available for an additional charge, at cost. 

All International orders will be sent via Priority Mail International (at cost, depending on weight and size) For octavo sized books (8 x 5 inches) Priority Mail International Flat Rate can be used for $16.95; $12.95 to Canada and Mexico. Oversize books and sets may incur additional shipping charges. Express Mail; GXG (1-3 day delivery); Fed Ex and UPS, are available at cost. Please inquire for rates.
