Limited Edition. Small octavo, measuring 7-1/2 x 6", and more than an inch thick. Designed by Barbara Hodgson, and produced in an edition of nine copies only, six of which are for sale; this is number '4'. Housed in a drop-back linen covered clamshell box, the edges further embellished with strips of antique manuscript paper, as well as a hand-numbered printed spine label; a Fine copy, as New. // The cards were set in Adobe Garamond and printed letterpress by David Clifford at Blackstone Press (Vancouver BC) on watercolour paper; they are arranged in two cards to a sheet, and each section is preceded by a descriptive 'title-page' (e.g. 'Baedeker'; 'Bank Notes'; 'Collage'; 'Colour Tests 1 & 2'; 'Miniatures'; 'Hippolyte'; 'Colour Tests 3 & 4'; 'Maps', etc...) Saeko Usukawa edited the text; Rollin Milroy set the type, printed it on Guarro and Arches papers with a Washington handpress & sewed the books at Heavenly Monkey studio. Claudia Cohen designed and made the boxes. The collaged jacket (which includes two unique cards) and the selection of thirty cards created by Barbara Hodgson are unique to each copy.
